First Coast News is launching a brand new daily deal Web site called DealChicken

Here’s how DealChicken works: Consumers sign up to receive future daily deals by visiting The deals are sent to consumers’ e-mail addresses.

Once the site launches, you’ll get one amazing deal delivered to your inbox per day. These will range from excellent deals on food at some of your favorite restaurants, to massive discounts on a round of golf, tanning, etc.

First Coast News is part of a larger rollout by Gannett Co., Inc, First Coast News’ parent company, to more than 50 markets across the United States by the end of 2011.

DealChicken is a fun, highly targeted daily deals site that will build on the long-standing relationshipsFirst Coast News has with merchants and consumers to offer uniquely local deals.

Local merchants interested in partnering with DealChicken on daily deals should also visit the web site. Merchants determine how many people must agree to purchase the deal in order for it to “hatch.” Revenue is shared between the merchant and DealChicken.
