Rachel Leitao is the Director of Digital Content at First Coast News. In addition to keeping up with the wildly popular "My Community" sites, Leitao is also the site manager of FirstCoast.MomsLikeMe.com and HighSchoolSports.net.
Leitao came to First Coast News in September of 2008 after two years as the Multi Media Marketing Specilist at WLTX in Columbia, SC. Leitao was tasked with assisting sales in their digital efforts, while overseeing and developing non-news web content such as niche sites for Moms, Brides and the Eco-Friendly.
Before joining the WLTX team Leitao worked in Public Relations for a handful of small boutique agencies in South Carolina, as well as Interpublic Group’s Weber Shandwick.
Leitao is a graduate of Southern Methodist University and is a huge fan of “The Ponies.” Outside of professional interests she studies her family genealogy, reads, cooks, rewires her house to be gadget friendly and enjoys life on the First Coast.
