Photo Gallery | Facebook changed your email address, here’s how to fix it
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Monday Facebook launched a new feature that changed all users’ default email address to [name]@facebook.com.
Almost as soon as the change went live, social media went a-buzz with comments on the recently rolled out Facebook email addresses. Some are claiming, “this is Facebook’s attempt to force its email service on users,” others call the change “frustrating.”
To get rid of the change, all you have to do is change the settings in your profile to make the email address hidden from your Timeline and Profile. The frustration from some is that you cannot delete it.
Here’s what you need to do to remove the Facebook email address form your Timeline and Profile. (see slideshow)
Another question from Facebook users’ is where does the mail they receive at the Facebook address go? The email gets lumped into your regular Facebook inbox, previously for messages only sent through Facebook.
