You Should Know – For the first time since 2008, the University of North Florida men’s golf team won the Atlantic Sun Tournament.  It is UNF’s fifth tournament win of the academic year.  By beating East Tennessee State by four shots, the Ospreys continue their streak of top-three finishes at the A-Sun conference championship.  ETSU crept within three strokes at one point.  However, stellar depth, with the Ospreys having four players finish in the top-11, gave UNF the edge.  UNF junior Sean Dale, who led after 36 holes, and teammate Kevin Aylwin tied for second overall in medalist play.  “I’m just really proud of this group and how they battled today,” said UNF head coach Scott Schroeder.  “Even though it wasn’t our best round as a team overall, we overcame some adversity and were able to continue grinding and capture an A-Sun Championship.  I thought Joey [Petronio] did a great job of bouncing back after two rough days of play and he helped carry us in the final round.”

Jaguars Bite of the Day – Jaguars receiver Taylor Price will miss most of the offseason with a stress fracture in his left foot.  He suffered the injury on a running play during Wednesday’s non-padded minicamp.  Price, a third-round selection by the Patriots in 2010, was released by New England in early December.  Jacksonville later claimed him off waivers.

College Nugget – The University of Tennessee released a statement Wednesday saying Pat Summitt was stepping aside as the Volunteers women’s basketball coach and taking the title of “head coach emeritus.”  Longtime assistant Holly Warlick will take over for college basketball’s all-time winningest coach.  It’s been less than one year since Summitt announced her diagnosis of early onset dementia-Alzheimer’s type.  Warlick becomes the head coach after 27 years of being Summitt’s assistant.  The university has a press conference scheduled for Thursday afternoon.

Broadcasting Note – Jeopardy host Alex Trebek envisions the Washington Redskins winning 12 games if they draft Robert Griffin III.  “[Robert] Griffin is going to be something special.  He is something special because he is multi-talented.  He can pass, he can run, he can do a lot of things.  I think Washington is going to be very happy if they get him,” Trebek stated.

Strange Thought of the Day – With or without a Maurice Jones-Drew holdout, should the Jaguars draft a running back in the first three rounds?

Tweet of the last 24 hours – @ChrisMannixSI (Chris Mannix, covers the NBA and boxing for Sports Illustrated) “Kevin Garnett has started 35 games at center this season.  Before this season, eight.”

Stat(s) of the Day – Via the Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars gave wide receiver Lee Evans a one-year deal with a $1.05 million base salary.  If he makes the team, his roster bonus is worth $196,875.  Evans, one of two receivers Jacksonville added in free agency, has a signing bonus of $250,000.

Link of the Day – Tennessee’s Pat Summitt changed the game.

Video of the Day – Masters champion Bubba Watson admitted that the only person he talked to on the phone the night after winning his green jacket on April 8 was Justin Bieber.  When asked if Bieber has a golf game, Watson says, “Man, he can sing and dance.”

Question of the Day – Can any NCAA basketball coach ever match Pat Summitt’s success?
