JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A man was Tasered after he allegedly pulled a knife on an off-duty Jacksonville Sheriff's Officer.
The suspect is accused of coming up behind the off-duty officer, who was working security at the Rosa Parks JTA bus station, and attempting to stab him with a knife, according to JSO Sgt. D.A. Robinson.
The suspect, who appeared to have a mental condition, was then Tasered and subdued by a sergeant on the scene.
After being taken to the hospital to have the electronic device from the Taser removed, the suspect will be taken to the Duval County Jail.
No one else was injured.
