JSO to announce first red light camera locations | News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will announce the location of the first red light cameras to go up in the River City Friday afternoon.

At a 2 p.m. press conference representatives of the law enforcement agency will unveil the first light camera location at the intersection of Southside Boulevard and Baymeadows Road, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.

The release said the Eastbound and Westbound approaches are the first two permits approved by the Florida Department of Transportation.

Construction on the red light cameras is scheduled to begin next week.
