JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A man accused of killing a fireman's wife had his arraignment court date pushed back to January 7.
Lance Kirkpatrick, 31, appeared in court Thursday morning in Duval County.
On October 28 Kim Dorsey's husband Derrick Dorsey found her dead in their Highland Glen Subdivision home after returning from working a 24-hour shift, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
Kirkpatrick was later arrested and charged with Kim Dorsey's murder on November 6 and was held without bond.
According to police, Kirkpatrick was a contractor who worked at the Dorsey's home and began living with the couple when he fell on hard times, but had moved out at the time of the murder.
