JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A woman is in jail after police say she was caught spray painting the new Duval County Courthouse on West Adams Street Thursday night.
Just before 10 p.m., officers reported receiving a call about a woman spray painting the walkway leading up to the building.
A JSO patrolman reported seeing the woman, later identified as 35-year-old Audrey Dostie, put a can of purple spray paint down on the ground and walk towards him.
The officer immediately arrested Dostie and contacted the person who called the complaint in to confirm the description of the woman the complainant observed spray painting things like "F Judge James Ruth and Free Us!" and "$300 million courthouse" on the property.
After taking Dostie to his patrol car, the arresting officer had the woman Baker Acted based on statements he said she made to him.
