City changes customer service center hours | News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The City of Jacksonville is changing its customer service center hours to eliminate being open during time periods that had low call volumes.

Starting July 23, 2012, the city's customer service center, reached by dialing 630-CITY, will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The change will eliminate the 7:30 - 8 a.m. and 5 - 5:30 p.m. time periods, which had low call volumes.

With the change, the full staff will be on-duty while the call center is open.

The city said customers should not see a disruption in service as a result of the schedule change.
