Trying times: new Duval County Courthouse will not open today | News
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- The planned opening of the new Duval County Courthouse will come and go today without a single case being heard inside the new building.
As reported last week, the building failed fire suppression testing and has not earned a certificate of occupancy.
Emergency hearings are being held in the Courthouse Annex building.
The city has not said when the building might officially open.
