Student of the Week: Julian Robertson

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Our Student of the Week's energy and intrigue are infectious.

Acting is just one of Julian Robertson's talents which he's developed throughout his years at LaVilla Middle School of the Arts.

The 8th grader is also seen as a role model for his younger peers.

Teachers love Julian, because he always comes to class prepared, and is excited about learning.

Our first impression of Julian; his career will surely have SOMETHING to do with the theater because he loves the adrenaline rush it brings.

"It's the feeling you get when it's said and done and you're up there in front of all of those people and they're just watching you do what you do best ... hopefully," he says with a hearty laugh.

Julian's theater teacher nominated him for Student of the Week.

"I've never seen that empathy and tenacity and perseverance in one student that is just balled up with such a sincere love of the arts and a love for his peers," theater teacher Amber Amerson reveals.

We wish Julian luck as he continues his acting studies at Douglas Anderson School of the Arts next year.
