You Should Know – The NFL unveiled its 2012 regular-season schedule last night.  The Jacksonville Jaguars have only one prime-time game.  It’s versus the Indianapolis Colts in a Thursday night game on Nov. 8.  Last season, Jacksonville had three prime-time games.  On the schedule release, Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey stated, “It’s interesting to see how it’s going to unfold.  To see the road trips and where they fall.  It’s always interesting to see and then start planning it out.”

Jaguars Bite of the Day – Jaguars defensive tackle Terrance Knighton can see out of his surgically-repaired left eye.  From his Twitter account, he posted: “In good spirits!!  Recovery is moving along great.  Can see out of my left eye again and can’t wait for it to be back normal.  Thanks everyone!”  Jags coach Mike Mularkey has said Knighton would miss “at least” the next three months.

College Nugget – Florida coach Billy Donovan was selected yesterday by the USA Basketball Men’s Junior National Team Committee to be the head coach at the 2012 FIBA Americas U18 Championship.  The event will be held June 16-20 in Brazil.  Donovan’s assistants are Mark Few, Gonzaga head coach, and VCU’s Shaka Smart.  “It’s always an honor to be selected to represent your country, and I’m incredibly thankful for this opportunity to be a part of USA Basketball,” said Donovan.

Broadcasting Note – Singer and entertainer Justin Bieber added broadcaster to his resume Tuesday night.  Bieber, a Lakers fan, joined the broadcast team of John Ireland and Mychal Thompson on 710 ESPN Radio.  He left his second-row seats for a few minutes to try his luck at radio for the Lakers-Spurs game.  Bieber used “boom goes the dynamite” three times.

Strange Thought of the Day – Recently, Clippers star Blake Griffin has spoken out about taking hard hits and not getting the proper foul calls from refs.  Couldn’t every star complain about that?

Tweet of the last 24 hours – @miketirico (Mike Tirico, ESPN broadcaster for Monday Night Football, NBA, golf and more) “From ESPN Stats and Info: (Detroit) Lions 4 prime time games this year equals the number of prime time appearances the prior 11 years.”

Stat(s) of the Day – Last night, Colorado Rockies pitcher Jamie Moyer became the oldest pitcher to ever win a major league contest.  In a 5-3 victory over the San Diego Padres, the 49-year-old pitched 7.0 innings, gave up six hits and two unearned runs.

Video of the Day – It’s the NHL playoffs.  Chicago’s Marian Hossa was dealt a devastating blow.  Since his skates left the ice for the hit, Phoenix’s Raffi Torres will be suspended.  Hossa was placed on a stretcher and taken to the hospital.
