You Should Know – On Monday, Tim Tebow said he chose the New York Jets over the Jacksonville Jaguars and downplayed any kind of quarterback controversy with Mark Sanchez.  Officially introduced as the Jets newest player, Tebow answered questions ranging from the Denver Broncos to his faith.  Ultimately, he chose the Jets because he has “a better relationship with the Jets’ coaches” than the Jacksonville staff.  More than 200 media members and 36 TV cameras were at a press conference for a backup quarterback.  On Sunday, Jets head coach Rex Ryan suggested Tebow will see time at positions other than quarterback.  “I don’t see Tim holding a clipboard.  He’s going to be playing for us.  There is no doubt.”

Jaguars Bite of the Day – Last week, free agent defensive end Matt Roth said he has fully recovered from an in-season concussion.  Roth, who spent last season with the Jaguars, received a clean bill of health from a concussion specialist.  In December, he stated his desire to return to Jacksonville.  Roth suffered a severe concussion on November 20 while playing the Cleveland Browns.  In nine games last year, he recorded 18 tackles and 3.5 sacks.

College Nugget – Florida coach Will Muschamp planned to send a strong message to his players at a Monday team meeting.  He wants them to prove they’re deserving of a roster spot.  Muschamp stated, “What I’m trying to say is the guys who have been in our program, how are they all of a sudden going to get productive in August (if they’re not productive now)?  Muschamp said he and his staff will come up with a depth chart after spring drills.

Broadcasting Note – Tiger Woods’ victory at Bay Hill gave golf a ratings’ win over the NCAA Tournament.  Obviously, CBS wants Tiger to be in the same groove at The Masters in less than two weeks.

Strange Thought of the Day – Did Jets head coach Rex Ryan ever say Mark Sanchez was New York’s starter going into the 2012 training camp?

Tweet of the last 24 hours – @adbrandt (Andrew Brandt, ESPN’s NFL business analyst) “Sense that Tebow felt a real interest from football side of Jets while feeling Jags was more of a marketing play.”

Stat(s) of the Day – The Florida and Florida State baseball teams will play tonight at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.  In the last five years, the Gators are 5-0 against the Seminoles in Gainesville.  During the same time, in games outside of Gainesville, Florida is 1-11 versus FSU.

Link of the Day – Via the Florida Times-Union, Jaguars owner Shahid Khan discusses the specifics of the Tim Tebow trade.  Most of it we didn’t know until now.  Worth your time.

Video of the Day – You never know what can happen during a Brazilian soccer match.  While disputing a call, a Caxias striker was bitten by a policeman’s German Shepherd.

Question of the Day – Will Tim Tebow be the New York Jets starting quarterback for the season opener?
