News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla --  The AFL Players' Union entered into a work stoppage Friday.

Then the AFLPU retracted the claim and instructed players to go back to work Saturday.

The players decided to strike Friday after they could not reach a deal with the owners on a new compensation package.

The AFL's 20-week regular season schedule and three week playoff schedule will remain as slated cluminating with the Arena Bowl XXV in New Orleans on August 10th.
