JACKSONVILLE, Fla -- The Wolfson Children's Hospital "Run 5 to Keep Kids Alive" event is set for Saturday. Repair work shutting down the Mathews Bridge could impact those attending the race.
The Mathews Bridge will close tonight, Friday at 7 p.m. for continued repair work and the bridge won't reopen until 6 a.m. Sunday.
The race starts at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Jacksonville Landing. The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said the race route will affect traffic on the Acosta Bridge and the Main Street Bridge until about 3:45 p.m.
