Jaguars Season Ticket Prices Change, Mostly Lower | News
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Change with the Jaguars this year started at the top and has now worked its way down to the fans.
Wayne Weaver fired head coach Jack Del Rio and sold the team. New owner Shahid Khan got to work after the new year finding a new coach -- Mike Mularkey -- and working on ways to fill the stadium and make the team a financial success.
To that end, the price structure for many seats inside EverBank Field has changed. Most of the changes result in less-expensive seats, though some ticket prices have gone up, and payment plans for long-term purchases remain in place.
The Jaguars ticket office released the new information, and broke down the 20 sections that have reduced prices for the 2012 season.
Twelve of the reduced sections are in the general bowl, with most of those being on the east side of the stadium -- the side seen most by television cameras.
Season tickets in sections 132, 141, 231, 232, 233, 240, 241, 242 and the upper rows of sections 435 and 437 are the sections on the east side, along with 206 and 213 on the west side, that now have prices as low as $410 for a 10-game season ticket package.
The most expensive tickets in those sections (which were in sections 206 and 213) have been reduced from $995 to $880.
The largest reduction, in sections 132, 141, 233 and 240, reflects a difference of $180 from the 2011 price.
Eight sections within the East Touchdown Club have seen prices reduced as well, with additional discounts available for three-year purchases.
Season tickets in sections 134, 135, 138, 139, 234, 235, 238 and 239 now begin as low as $1,200 for a three-year purchase. The 2011 price was $1,325.
The increased ticket prices are in the popular south end zone seats. Season tickets that cost $620 in 2011 will cost $700 in 2012 for sections 101-102 and 144-150.
The Jaguars said fans in those sections who don't want to pay the increase can move to similar seats in the north end zone.
The Teal Deals, Jaguars Rewards and Jaguars Advantage programs remain in place for the upcoming season.
Fans purchasing season tickets in the general bowl can continue taking advantage of the 30-Game Plan, allowing interest-free purchases spread out over three 10-months sets through 2014. Fans wanting to purchase club seats can also finance interest-free for 10 months.
