FCN's One Spark Top 5: Alert The Boss
News

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Leading up to One Spark, we've asked creators to submit their videos, and our viewers to vote on their favorites on our Facebook page.

We are featuring the top vote getters in that competition on air and here online as well.

Alert The Boss is a product developed by Evan Diamond, a UNF student, and has been in the top of our voting ever since the beginning.

The product sets up a direct text line for businesses to display, allowing customers to anonymously text feedback directly to a manager, or someone in charge.

"It can be awkward to tell someone face-to-face when you're unhappy with their work," Diamond said.

So, for instance, instead of an angry customer getting angrier by the time they're home, and then blasting the company on a public site like Yelp, that customer can text the boss the problem.

"And then maybe the problem can be solved right there on site, before any bad review is passed on word of mouth." he said. "It's one step before a bad Yelp review."

You can visit Evan and learn more about Alert The Boss at his booth in Hemming Plaza thoughout One Spark. To vote for him at the event, use creator number #20373

For more information, or to set up a free trial of the app, you can visit the Alert The Boss website by clicking here.

FULL DISCLOSURE: He also set up a promo code "I Love FCN" for potential customers to get 10 percent off after the free trial ends, but we want to emphasize that we chose this creator because of Facebook votes, not a sponsorship situation.
