Jaguars Bite of the Day – The Jaguars will hold a three-day rookie mini-camp from Friday until Sunday at EverBank Field.  The group includes 27 workout players, the six chosen in the 2012 NFL Draft and 17 collegiate free agents.  “I think it’s a good group of workout-basis players that we were able to secure commitments out of,” Jaguars general manager Gene Smith said.  “They’ll come in like any other undrafted players and get an opportunity to be evaluated.”

College Nugget – On Tuesday night, Florida coach Will Muschamp stopped at the Jacksonville Fairgrounds for his spring speaking tour.  His main talking point: the Gators are a better team now than at any point last season.  “The cohesiveness offensively and being more physical and running the ball, we are better than we were at any point last year because of experience, because of knowledge, because we’ve kept some continuity with some things terminology-wise,” Muschamp stated.  “I’m excited about where we’re headed.”
