You Should Know – The Jacksonville Jaguars signed their first unrestricted free agent this season, wide receiver Laurent Robinson.  He visited team facilities Wednesday.  It was believed Robinson was leaving Jacksonville without a contract.  The former Dallas Cowboy agreed to five years and $32.5 million.  The guarantees are in the range of $14 million.  Robinson, at 6-foot-2, will give second-year quarterback Blaine Gabbert a big target.  Last season, he caught a career-best 54 passes for 858 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Jaguars Bite of the Day – Also on Wednesday, the Jaguars inked quarterback Chad Henne to a two-year agreement.  The former Miami Dolphins starter was scheduled to visit Seattle after Jacksonville.  Henne, drafted by Miami in the second round of 2008, gives the Jags depth at quarterback.  Last season he separated his shoulder and decided on surgery.  Matt Moore then took over as the Dolphins starter.  The 26-year-old Henne has started 31 games and thrown 31 touchdowns in his four-year career.

College Football Nugget – Oklahoma State head coach Mike Gundy will make $3.275 million in 2012.  The details of his new eight-year, $30.3 million contract were released Wednesday.  Last year, Gundy led the Cowboys to their first Big 12 championship and a BCS bowl victory.  Under this deal, if he wins the national championship, he’ll receive a $400,000 bonus.  To buy out the contract, Gundy, 44, would owe Oklahoma State $3 million.

Stat(s) of the Day – University of North Florida golfer Sean Dale won the co-player of the week award in the Atlantic Sun.  The junior shared it with Kennesaw State’s Matt Nagy.  Dale is coming off his third career college victory, at the General Hackler Championship.  The 22-year-old has been named A-Sun Player of the Week five times.

Link of the Day – Peyton Manning met with his fourth NFL team, the Tennessee Titans, for eight hours Wednesday.
