Mother at Sunday Night Shooting Reacts to Tuesday's Violence

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Lisa Burney was one of more than a hundred people at a party on Spruce Street Sunday night when at least two gunmen opened fire on the crowd.

"Completely chaos. Everyone was just trying to get to safey," said Lisa Burney.

She says hundreds of people scattered when shots rang out Sunday night, after hours of relative calm at a family birthday party.

"Around 8:45 I checked my phone. Everything had been going good from 4 til that time, and then out of nowhere gunshots fired," she said.

When people fled the scene, it wasn't just the people who were shot that got injured.

"My daughter was hit by a car. We don't know who owns the car or whatever. People were trying to run, get out of the way," she said.

Burney tried to comfort the victims on Sunday, including her niece, who was shot in the stomach. Her unborn child was killed in the crossfire.

Identity Theft Delays IRS Tax Refund

Identity Theft Delays IRS Tax Refund

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Carole Conrique is a homemaker, mother of eight and the family bookkeeper. She says the 2011 income tax season left them facing a crisis.

"Our savings is depleted. We rely on this every year to take us to the next year," said Conrique.

Conrique said this year their income tax refund is delayed because of possible identity theft.

No errors, but on April 15 their tax return was rejected.

According to IRS documents, in January someone in Dallas, Texas, filed another tax return using her husband's social security number.

Conrique was instructed to file a police report, which she did, and to file an identity theft affidavit with the IRS, which she did. The agencies are investigating.
