HandsOn Jacksonville to Commemorate 10 Year Anniversary of 9/11 Attacks

HandsOn Jacksonville is joining organizations and individuals around the country who are participating in the 9/11 Day observance in an effort to create the single-largest day of good deeds, charitable activity and volunteer service in U.S. history to pay tribute to the 9/11 victims and survivors and those who rose in service following the attacks.

HandsOn Jacksonville has organized a number of projects at four different venues. 

Location 1 - Klutho Park, at 635 3rd Street in Springfield, volunteers will: assemble care packages for our overseas troops, plant 300 pots with vegetable seeds for school children, plant 20 planters with collard and lettuce plants for needy children and their families and plant two trees.

Location 2, 3 & 4 - Pancake breakfasts will be served by volunteers to “first responders”, veterans, active  military and their families from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at these 3 locations.
