Filipino American Friendship Day Commemorated in Jacksonville |

Here in Jacksonville Kathryne Lopez sang the Philippines National Anthem at the Veteran's Memorial wall. May 6 marked the 70th anniversary of the fall of Bataan and fall of Corregidor to Japanese forces in World War II. 

That led to the Bataan Death march which was reenacted Saturday at the ceremony. 

American and Filipino prisoners of war were forced to march 70 miles without food or water.
